Main Sessions

We have training available for athletes interested in competing in all events (including sprints, middle-distance, long-distance and field events. Our main training times and locations are:

Distance Runners

Training for the distance events (>800m , cross country and road racing) is under the guidance of Donie Walsh and consists of long runs, tempos, track sessions, fartlek etc.. Training times are as follows:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 – 7 pm on the outdoor Mardyke track
  • Saturdays at 9am at the Farm in Curraheen.


John Sheehan takes these sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm, meeting on the outdoor Mardyke track. These sessions cater for distances up to 400m, and include hills, track sessions etc.


We can arrange coaching and training sessions for shot, discus, javelin and hammer throwers. Contact us for more information.
