Circuit Training

It’s hard to find anything better than circuits for all-round fitness and co-ordination. They can also help prevent injury by strengthening the larger muscle groups and stabilising muscles. Unlike some other circuit training programmes, the exercises in this session are tailored for athletes.

  • Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm, at Mardyke Arena indoor track (2nd floor)

Weight Training

Weights are an excellent way to improve the strength and efficiency of the muscles used in athletic events. Though they are essential for throwers and sprinters, distance runners can also benefit. These sessions are held in the Squad Gym of the Mardyke Arena, under the guidance of Jeff Gomez. Please note that spaces for this session are limited, so athletes wishing to avail of it must be willing to commit to consistent attendance. Talk to Jeff in the gym for more information.
